effort to create comprehensive Guidelines specifically tailored to Pediatric Urology cases. This project required extensive time and resources, but ultimately proved successful in establishing reliable and informative Guidelines for the field. Writing Guidelines for Pediatric Urology posed unique challenges due to the complex nature of the specialty. Unlike other medical fields, Pediatric Urology guidelines cannot be strictly prescriptive, as each case requires individualized treatment. Despite initial criticisms, the Guidelines published have been valuable resources for practitioners in the field. In addition to my work on the Guidelines, I also addressed structural issues within the European Society for Pediatric Urology (ESPU). One major achievement was relocating the Society from the Netherlands to Belgium to resolve tax and governmental concerns and enhance the organization's structure. Furthermore, I made efforts to globalize Pediatric Urology within the European Society. By fostering collaboration with American colleagues and organizing international meetings, I aimed to establish ESPU as a global hub for Pediatric Urology. The success of these efforts was evident in the record attendance at the 2015 Prague meeting which was a joint meeting American Societies, and I am dedicated to continuing these global initiatives during my remaining term as President. The Prague meeting in 2015 was the most crowded meeting ever. There were 1250 pediatric urologists. So, it was a big
success. Next year in 2025 it's going to be the last year of my presidency, so I'm looking for something else. We are going to do the same in Vienna. Our American colleagues will cancel their annual meeting in the States and they will come to Europe for the meeting. We are hoping to reach a number of around 2000, bringing everyone from all around the world and making ESPU a true global hub for Pediatric Urology.
